Profile History

Profile History is a Pro-only rollback system for saved-profile overwrites. Before a Pro tuning or cockpit save replaces a profile, the app snapshots the old version so you can go back.

Reach for it when:

  • A cockpit tuning session made a saved profile worse.
  • A Voice Tune save overwrote a profile unexpectedly.
  • You want to compare recent saved versions.
  • Support asks for the profile state before a Pro tuning change.

What gets captured

Profile History takes a snapshot before each Pro-owned saved-profile overwrite. The snapshot stores the complete original profile so a rollback preserves metadata and any newer profile fields older UI code might not understand. Snapshots are taken on save — not on every slider move. Reasons recorded include:

  • Cockpit save.
  • Tuning save.
  • Before restore.

Snapshots live under the Pro profile-history area inside the app's ffb-bridge-pro data directory, separate from the free app's profiles and history.

Requirements

Profile History needs:

  • An active Pro entitlement.
  • An active saved profile.
  • An overwrite that goes through Pro tuning or cockpit save behaviour.

With no active saved profile, the page shows an empty/no-profile state.

Restoring a snapshot

  1. Open Profile History.
  2. Select the current saved profile.
  3. Select a snapshot.
  4. Choose Restore selected.

Before restoring, the app takes a fresh Before restore snapshot of the current profile where possible — so a restore is itself reversible if it wasn't the version you wanted. After restoring, the app reloads the active tuning profile so the desktop matches the restored file.

What Profile History does not do

Profile History is not a full system backup. It does not replace:

  • Windows backups.
  • Manually exported diagnostic bundles.
  • Version control for hand-edited profile files.
  • Free-app profile storage.

It also does not automatically copy free profiles into Pro.

If there are no snapshots

  • Confirm Pro is active.
  • Confirm you're working with a saved profile.
  • Confirm the overwrite came from Pro tuning or cockpit save behaviour.
  • Snapshots are only created when there is a real previous profile state to capture.
