Aircraft Library
Get to know the aircraft you fly. Aircraft Library brings AirframeDB's background stories, manuals, pilot accounts and videos into FFB-Bridge, alongside your simulator.
Open the library
Choose Aircraft Library in the main navigation to browse, search or filter by aircraft category. With an aircraft loaded, choose Learn about your aircraft in the status strip to open its reference. No simulator needs to be running to browse.
Use the Aircraft Library back link to return to the catalogue. Search accepts aircraft names, type codes and developers; category filters narrow the results. Refresh checks for current content. Browsing another aircraft does not change the aircraft loaded in your simulator.
Find the right aircraft and edition
Bridge uses the simulator's aircraft name and type code to find a matching aircraft family. If several references fit, choose the one you mean. A family match does not identify the installed add-on developer or version.
Use Your simulator edition to select the developer and edition you fly. The library then shows the applicable guides and videos alongside shared aircraft references. This choice is remembered on this computer; it does not change your force-feedback profile.
A useful reference before your next flight
Overview contains the introduction, background and available specifications. Reading presents selected passages and pilot accounts with source links. Videos opens selected footage on YouTube only when you choose to watch. Simulator describes the selected add-on edition. Sources gathers its original manuals and reference links.
The available material differs between aircraft and editions. An empty Videos or Simulator section means material has not been selected for that edition yet. Choose Family only for shared aircraft references, or use Sources for the original links. The edition choice is local and does not detect an installed add-on version.
AirframeDB is a simulator reference. Check the source and the edition it describes; real-aircraft material can differ from your add-on. Reading a reference never changes Bridge's force settings.
Read comfortably
Use A− and A+ beside the section tabs to adjust the reading text from 14 to 22 px. Select the percentage to reset it. The choice is saved locally and affects only the reader, so the rest of your settings keep their usual size.
When the connection is unavailable
Previously retrieved references and photographs can be shown from a dated local copy when a connection is unavailable. New references and external videos or manuals still need internet access. Access and connection errors are distinct from “aircraft not found”; use the displayed retry action when available. Flying and force feedback continue independently.
If your aircraft is not found
Try the aircraft's common name, browse the catalogue or retry the match. An unfamiliar simulator label can fail even when the aircraft is present. Unmatched names and type codes may be recorded in AirframeDB's editorial coverage queue to help improve the catalogue and matching.
