Settings
Settings contains four tabs: General, Session, Updates and Local data. Use it for application behaviour, simulator selection and force-session controls. Physical device limits and calibration are under Hardware; aircraft feel is under Tuning.
General
Choose what the close button does when a system tray is available: Ask every time, Minimize to tray or Quit app. Minimizing keeps the application and its current force session running. On a desktop without a usable tray, closing quits instead of hiding the window.
Theme offers System, Light and Dark. Visual contrast offers Standard and High contrast. Both apply immediately. These preferences adjust the appearance of the interface. Aircraft Library has its own reading-text size controls beside its section tabs.
Reset window clears saved placement for the next launch. Show welcome schedules the welcome guide for the next launch. Neither resets hardware calibration, aircraft profiles or simulator settings.
Session
Choose the simulator for the next launch
Under Session → Simulator, keep automatic detection or choose an available simulator explicitly. Changing this choice saves it for the next launch and prompts for a restart. It never changes the active simulator connection during a force session. This is useful when several supported simulators are installed.
Auto-arm when ready
Auto-arm when ready starts a live force session only when the device and simulator are ready and startup dialogs have closed. It is off by default. A manual Disarm suppresses automatic re-arming for that simulator session. Loading the app or browsing Aircraft Library does not itself authorize forces.
On-screen confirmation and safety alerts
Confirm on-screen Arm / Disarm clicks controls confirmation for the main Arm control. It does not add confirmation to joystick shortcuts or tray actions, and it does not bypass Safety Stop recovery. Play a voice alert on motion-safety stop controls the spoken warning; the visible Safety Stop state remains even with sound off.
Automatic Safety Stop monitors control motion and can cut output when it detects runaway movement or sustained violent oscillation. After a stop, inspect the control and acknowledge the stop in Bridge before re-arming. Turning this protection off requires the app’s warning confirmation; it does not change the normal Disarm control.
Controller Arm / Disarm shortcut
While Disarmed, select Set up… in the Joystick Arm / Disarm section, press and release a spare controller button, then turn on Enable joystick shortcut. A button already assigned to force trim or beep trim cannot be reused. Choose Hold for 1 second or Press once to arm; one press disarms in either mode. The shortcut works while minimized, without an on-screen confirmation, but cannot clear a Safety Stop.
Advanced: stale telemetry
The Advanced section under Session contains Stale threshold and Fade window. They control how output fades when simulator telemetry stops. These values remain part of the active profile, so changing them marks that profile unsaved. Use Reset to return an individual value to its default.
Updates
Choose Stable or Beta, enable or disable Check for updates at startup, and use Check now for a manual check. Choosing Beta includes prerelease builds. Windows and installed Linux AppImages offer a verified download and installation after your approval; macOS opens the signed DMG download. A failed check does not install anything.
Local data
Open config reveals preferences and local profile-related configuration. Open diagnostics reveals session and crash logs. Clear crash report removes a pending crash record; Clear logs removes saved session logs. Export a support bundle before clearing material needed for an unresolved report. These actions do not send a bundle to support.
