FFB-Bridge on macOS

Force feedback on the Mac, signed and notarized

FFB-Bridge runs natively on Apple Silicon with X-Plane 12: the SideWinder Force Feedback 2 and MOZA bases through raw IOHID, the same force model and the same 1,600+ profiles as Windows and Linux. MSFS isn't available on macOS, so the Mac edition is X-Plane only.

FFB-Bridge on macOS

X-Plane 12, native

X-Plane 12 on the Mac connects over UDP with nothing to install. Aircraft identity, trim, autopilot and every force channel come from the same datarefs as on Windows.

  • Auto-detected at start
  • X-Plane 11 also works
  • No plugin, no Rosetta

SideWinder FFB2 and MOZA, through IOHID

The SideWinder Force Feedback 2 and the MOZA AB6, AB9, AY90, AY210 run through the Mac's raw HID/PID path, with MOZA firmware ownership over the base's own channel. Brunner bases run on macOS too; X-Plane on the Mac does not read one as a controller directly, so Pro's Controls routing (macOS 26) presents it to the simulator.

  • Signed with a Developer ID and notarized; Gatekeeper-clean
  • Apple Silicon only; macOS 13 or later for Free
  • Updates inside the app
