MOZA AB6 not connecting on macOS? — FFB-Bridge community

Brand new MOZA AB6, works on macOS 15.8. The stick works in X-Plane no problem. Closing X-Plane and opening FFB-Bridge first brings up message "Preparing MOZA AB6 FFB Base" for a couple seconds, and then message changes to red "FFB-Bridge Needs your Attention" saying it can no longer connect.

FFB-Bridge 1.5.2, though same problem happened in 1.5.0 and 1.5.1.

In settings, Open diagnostics, last-session.log has these messages about "device: MOZA firmware does not expose dynamic command 0x6A/0x6B; excluding this unsupported family from takeover and restoration":

Any ideas how to get this working on macOS?

You need a firmware update. Unfortunately, FFB-Bridge cannot update the firmware for you - that's (currently) only through Moza Cockpit. If you update the firmware on a Windows PC, it should work normally.

To update the firmware, you can use ANY Windows PC. Any old laptop, desktop, whatever. It doesn't need a GPU or high end CPU or to be a "gaming" device. Any Windows machine from the last 15 years running Windows 10+ and with a USB port will be enough.

Install Moza Cockpit, plug in the AB6, do the firmware updates and then try it again on your Mac.
