I have an issue when coming out of autopilot in MSFS24 (especially during an approach) where the plane will nose down sharply. It's like there is a secondary trim that takes over once the autopilot is disabled. Is there anyway to alleviate this?

This issue was a bug that should be gone in 1.6.4. If you're still seeing it, hit the Report an Issue and let me know.
