So before you manually learn the keybind for the beep trim, the hatswitch had no effect correct?

good question... I must admit I did not try before doing the keybinding

I had and still have keybindings in the SIM for these buttons, but I cannot tell if ffb-bridge was doing something before I defined the keybindings.

I also tested Raw HID/PID, but with that backend FTR hold and friction no longer worked correctly on my setup, so I reverted to DirectInput/PID.

Can you make sure there is a way to NOT have it automatically mapped to any keybinds , becuase all my keybinds are already spoken for and used for other stuff. Thanks

Thanks for the report, should be all fixed now. The raw HID mode is now the preferred mode for Moza sticks and should sort all this out (and it's fixed in DirectInput mode as well).

And yes, the default behaviour has been changed, the user now explicitly picks what they want, it won't grab any controls.

A few more improvements in the next build. Later today.

In my MOZA AB6, using Raw/HID , changing it from DirectInput, rebooting the program, etc...I dont have any FFB effect (MOZA software untouched, with a profile loaded, set according FFBB instructions, of course). Changing to DirectInput from Raw/HID, on the fly, all the effects work again. Including gradual movement of the joystick when I do Beep Trim. In MSFS 2024 config I deleted FTR and Force Trim on/off keys and I only use the FFBB keys I set. For Beep Trimming, I use MSFS 2024 keys, as my POV hat switch is not detected by FFBB.

So, I´m wondering if its a good idea to use this raw HID mode as preferred for Moza and change Beep Trim behavior. Both, DirectInput and Beep Trim work for me. In my case, for the next version I only need my POV to be detected by FFBB so I can delete MSFS 2024 keys and use FFBB instead.

Major update to how FFB-Bridge works with Moza bases. Much simpler to use, and lots of the issues are just gone.

WOW, now I understand. Everything works as you described. Raw/HID option works, and Beep Trim too. Thanks! And nice video, btw.

The Beep Trim switch dedicated hat option could be better, more "sensitive" or faster when "Learn Buttons". Sometimes it acts like if FORWARD is recognized, then AFT is not, and it seems not changed at all.... ...But if you try to fly in MSFS 2024, the Beep Trim just works like a dream. I deleted the 4 pov keys/commands I used in the sim (decrease rotor longitudinal trim...etc) and FFBB hat switch orders are recognized, and the stick moves accordly pov movements.

I am aware that some linux distros aren't working correctly. There'll be a hotfix out soon with that sorted. Windows should be working fine.

Beta .39 is out, Linux and MacOS are verified working. Let me know if you see anything broken.

Windows 11 and AB6:

  • The Beep Trim switch dedicated hat option is not being detected (but it seems to work on MSFS 2024 anyway). Its about the feedback given by the program. It should be: Click Learn Buttons->Asks POV move forward->I do, and POV forward is detected->OK->Then, Asks POV move AFT->I do and POV AFT detected-> OK Settings saved. The others, like FORCE TRIM FTR work perfectly.
  • Why I can't resize the app window? No size arrows on the borders or corners appear. The window only accepts one size. No maximize icon either. I think on previous versions, resize windows app was possible.
  • The description of the forces in Tuning menu, is cut. Also the "arrow ?" tip. Only shows a part of the text.

1. Hat switch - actually, that is confusing because it's not really asking you to move the hat switch. The use dedicated hat switch and the learn buttons are two separate things.

It's actually for sticks that don't' have a hat switch (or the hat is already being used), and so you can set up different buttons (like a D-Pad).

That interface definitely needs some cleaning up to make it better and more obvious. I'll work on that.

2. Yes, I locked it to a fixed dimension as it was breaking when it re-flowed - and the UI was changing a lot. Now that the UI is more or less settling down, I can re-enable that. I just need to make sure it flows correctly

3. This is fixed in the next version.

Thanks for the feedback!
