New Version - Where'd the roll feel go?

Hello-

Uploaded and am running the latest version and I noticed that the aileron feel is almost completely gone. The forces are much too light in both commercial and GA aircraft. In transport category aircraft in particular, the yoke forces should be pretty heavy - these aircraft are built (programmed?) for stability (rw pilot here - former commercial - current for fun). Every setting I've tried and the roll axis feels more like an Extra 300 rather than a 737 or MD80. The version 2 updates ago when the MOZA software ran in the background with the base settings) was much better in this regard (or at least I was able to more easily make it better).

I've adjusted the settings per the descriptions but cannot seem to make the roll axis any heavier at all at cruise - I must be misunderstanding something. I would love to hear your suggestions.

Not sure if its related, but I also can't seem to stiffen up the roll axis when the autopilot is engaged even though I have it set to where it should be pretty stiff. When those servos are engaged, the yoke should be pretty stiff unless you force an override and disconnect.

I am using the Moza AY210

Yes, there is a bug with the AY210. This warrants a hotfix release. I'll release an update soon that should sort this out.

I'm not OP, but I'm on the latest beta and I still feel like the roll is feel is too weak with the AY210. I'll play around some more tonight.

I played around a little bit tonight and I think one big issue is that the Aileron Load seems to be inverted. I have to lower the value to increase the load.

Hmm not good. Let me see what happened. I recently changed a lot of things internally, and some sign flips that were previously needed are not anymore.. but looks like I may have missed some. I will do a full audit of the polarity/sign conventions.

On Logitech Wingman Force 3D Pro, I got force disabled to often. Esp. If I made a fast move. On this stick the safety feature isn't working and I suggest it isn't needed

Yeah, it's hard to tune a safety feature for ALL kinds of sticks. I will make a change - I will disable safety stops by default for Sidewinder and Logitech, and also allow a user to disable safety stops. For weaker hardware it really doesn't matter, and if a user wants to turn it off on stronger sticks, that can be a choice.

New version later today will have this.

1.4.1-beta3 now does this

1. Safety Stop is disabled on the older, weaker sticks that aren't really dangerous. 2. You can turn it off yourself in case it is on (or you want it off on a stronger stick). It's under Settings -> Session (Automation and Safety).

I think this should sort out your issue. Let me know if you notice anything else broken.

i am also using the ay210 and just updated to the beta (i was a couple version behind i believe) but im in almost the same boat as the OP and not sure what else to try. There is no stiffness in my yoke at all for any of the profiles and very wide range of play during autopilot. i followed a video from FFB Bridge on youtube from 2 weeks ago but i was missing a slider in the hardware-> effects tab maybe that has something to do with it. basically is making my ffb yoke not ffb

i think maybe i am doing something wrong. there is almost no tension or stiffness compared to when it was paired with Moza Cockpit. And the autopilot issue with the yoke being able to be turned 90 degrees with minimal effort while autopilot is activate before disconnecting is still happening. i have tried every setting i can think of and see but nothing is actually adding tension. any advice or questions will be here 👍🏼 thanks

i am going to play with it today for a few hours and try it out and will report back. it did feel slightly better when off autopilot and hand flying after tweaking most settings. but still awfully light yoke feel but i have never flown a 737 lol.

Your AP follow Strength is set to 20% in this profile. Try raising that to max under tuning. Leave Authority at 10% or so, but bump the Strength to 100% and then see.

Also, to validate the fix - in Flight Check, run the AP Follow Test. This ignores your profile and runs a preset test. You can then try installing the previous beta (or the 1.4.0 stable release), and compare the feeling between the latest beta and the previous versions.

with authority at 10 and 50 percent the yoke isn’t even following the ingame yoke it remains still at the center point. strength at 100 made minimal difference. will have to test more tomorrow thanks for the speedy help.

Yeah, when you test again let me know. It's working fine on my AY210 now. I was able to replicate your initial issue, and that is now fixed. Not sure what's happening now for you.. guessing some sort of settings issue.

When you test again, make sure you replicate the issue, then without exiting FFB-Bridge, take a support bundle. The one you sent just now didn't contain the whole issue, so I was not able to see your settings.

It'll get sorted though, since I know it's working now, just a question of tracking down the difference between my setup and yours.

am testing now and i was able to get a decent profile with some firmness. the AP follow is not working at all though for me. authority and strength are set to max. will send a report now. have spent about an hour reading through what each setting does and haven’t noticed anything obvious but i am only human lol. thank u again
