Right now if you want to rename a profile you need to go to the folder where they are stored and do it there. Would be nice if we could rename them from the program UI directly

You can do that right now by duplicating it from the Profiles page - select the profile, put a new name and hit duplicate. Then you can delete the older one.
However, it's a few extra clicks, and your suggestion is a good one. I can likely add a button to rename it (or double click to change the name or something). Should be straightforward. I'll think through the user flow and possibly add it to the next update.
