From first flight to air defence service

The Mirage 2000 first flew in 1978 and entered French operational service in 1984 in the air-defence role. Dassault describes a family of single- and twin-seat aircraft rather than one unchanging configuration. That distinction matters when selecting a simulator aircraft with a particular cockpit and mission system.

An international aircraft family

Dassault records six hundred Mirage 2000s produced, with about half exported. Its customer list includes Brazil, Egypt, Greece, India, Peru, Qatar, Taiwan and the United Arab Emirates. The shared family name therefore covers several national configurations, and a figure for one engine or weapons fit should remain attached to the version it describes.

MSFS 2020MSFS 2024Miltech Simulations

A single-engine delta-wing fighter represented by Miltech’s M2K-C.

This profile selects Miltech Simulations M2K-C for MSFS 2020, MSFS 2024.

The selected electronic-control law provides fixed stick centering. The spring stays independent of airspeed. Directed aerodynamic loading is omitted.

The AFF trim switch can change guidance rather than a physical stick neutral. Aircraft trim retains the fixed hardware centre. Autopilot following is off.

Controls and trim

Miltech’s Mirage 2000C documentation describes AFF automatic-flight modes in which the trim switch changes vertical-speed guidance. NAV selects heading guidance, with separate stated navigation and glideslope limitations. The switch’s function depends on the automatic-flight context.

Miltech Simulations M2K-C for MSFSM2KCM2KC AP

The selected implementation

Miltech’s AFF trim switch changes vertical-speed guidance in automatic flight. NAV selects heading guidance; LNAV, VOR tracking and glideslope coupling are not documented functions of that mode.

About the values

The gains are normalized profile settings. They describe the chosen effect balance; hand force depends on the device and its output limits. IAS references are tuning values rather than operating limits. Physical acceptance of this revision remains pending.

Master gain & control system

Master gain80%

Por qué aquí: Scales overall profile strength while preserving effect balance, subject to device and output limits.

Forces

Spring strength56%

Por qué aquí: The selected electronic-control law provides fixed stick centering. The baseline spring is 0.56. The electronic-control law keeps centering independent of airspeed.

Miltech Simulations M2K-C for MSFSM2KCM2KC AP
Spring deadband4%

Por qué aquí: The spring deadband is 0.04. It defines the central interval before added centering resistance builds; the centre preload is 0.

Overall aerodynamic load0%

Por qué aquí: The stored 0 aerodynamic-load gain is inactive under the fixed-centre control law.

Airspeed blendingFalse

Por qué aquí: Allows baseline spring strength to rise with indicated airspeed where the control law permits it.

Low-speed spring floor55%

Por qué aquí: Sets low-speed spring strength as a fraction of baseline when blending is enabled. One keeps full strength.

Spring engagement start8 kt

Por qué aquí: Sets the IAS where the low-speed spring blend starts rising. This is a feel threshold, not a flight limit.

Spring engagement full65 kt

Por qué aquí: Sets the IAS where the low-speed blend reaches baseline strength; high-speed stiffening also uses it.

Por qué aquí: Sets the IAS reference for aerodynamic loading. It is an estimate, not published cruise TAS or a flight limit.

Centre firmness vs speed0%

Por qué aquí: Adds permitted spring resistance above the full-blend speed. Zero removes this high-speed increase.

Centre stiffening cap2

Por qué aquí: Limits the squared airspeed ratio used for high-speed spring stiffening; it is not a device-force cap.

Aileron load70%

Por qué aquí: Roll and pitch aerodynamic scales are 0.7 and 0.86, respectively. These stored weights do not create directed aerodynamic loading while that term is inactive. No custom spring-travel curve is enabled.

Elevator load86%

Por qué aquí: Scales pitch aerodynamic loading; pitch spring travel and trim responses are separate settings.

Max output force55%

Native spring effects and device limits remain separate.

Trim

Trim relief (elevator)0%

Menos: sigues sosteniendo esfuerzo aun compensado.

Por qué aquí: The AFF trim switch can change guidance rather than a physical stick neutral. Pitch relief is off, with stored authority 0; roll authority is 0.

Miltech Simulations M2K-C for MSFSM2KCM2KC AP
Trim relief (aileron)0%

Por qué aquí: Scales supported roll-trim relief and permitted centre movement. Zero removes roll response.

Effect gains · Ground

Runway rumble24%

Por qué aquí: Sets rolling texture strength, modified by speed, surface and undercarriage configuration.

Gear bumps18%

Por qué aquí: Sets gear-bump texture during ground motion, separate from touchdown impact.

Effect gains · Airframe

Stall buffet0%

Zero removes the cue without changing simulator stalls or warnings.

Mach buffet0%

Por qué aquí: Sets high-Mach buffet strength; onset and full-strength thresholds are separate.

Flap buffet0%

Por qué aquí: Sets flap buffet at the configured position and speed gates. Flap movement texture is separate.

Gear buffet0%

Por qué aquí: Sets gear aerodynamic buffet; movement and ground-contact cues are separate.

Stick shaker50%

Por qué aquí: Sets triggered shaker strength; inactive while the shaker feature is disabled.

Effect gains · Engine, mechanical & drag

Touchdown thump32%

Por qué aquí: Sets landing-impact strength; landing telemetry and response shape determine the pulse.

Reverse rumble0%

Por qué aquí: Sets reverse-thrust vibration with valid reverser and engine conditions. Zero removes the cue.

Engine rumble2%

Por qué aquí: Sets estimated engine vibration using configured telemetry and response, not measured cockpit vibration.

Flap motion0%

Por qué aquí: Sets texture from observed flap movement; a command without movement does not establish the cue.

Autopilot follow

AP follow authority10%

Por qué aquí: Sets admitted AP-follow gain, not a percentage of travel. Runtime ownership and input limits still apply.
