I have an issue when coming out of autopilot in MSFS24 (especially during an approach) where the plane will nose down sharply. It's like there is a secondary trim that takes over once the autopilot is disabled.
Is there anyway to alleviate this?
So, I still have the issue. The only way I have found to fix it is to set Pitch Trim Relief to 0%. To be fair, I have the same issue with the Moza software.
I guess I can disable trim relief, but that's kind of a bummer.
No, that should not be happening. Try with 1.6.5, send me a Report an Issue bundle if it still happens to you. If you can send that bundle just after you see this, I can fix it.
OK this is fixed in X-Plane, but MSFS needs some more work; the issue is that MSFS does not allow full takeover of the axis, and so the code needs to do the work. The Moza bases need a smoother transition from the AP to manual control. I'll fix this up and send you an updated build to test tomorrow.
But also, please do send me the Report an Issue thing if you can. That will help me validate the fix.
Ah if you're here, then hang on, I'll send you a build shortly. Can you send me an email to [email protected] so I know I'm sending it to the right person (your forum account and the download email are deliberately not linked in my backend)
Yeah, it is working on MSFS for me as well now. This was a quick fix, so there may yet be a lingering bug, but I'm fairly certain I have the root cause identified. Let me know if anything else seems weird.
I'll publish the hotfix and also send you a new Pro installer with this fix later tomorrow. I'll test it a bit more myself before I send it out to everyone.
I had a little more time to play around with this and the experience is SO much better. This has been a problem with the Moza software since day one. Thank you!
